A blessing from the sky!

This morning I was late to the school. As I waited for a bus at the bus stop, something yellow creamy thing dropped on my hand from a tree next to me. What a BIG surprise! It was bird's shit! For a moment, I thought "Should I be mad or calm?"  I was stunned for a while and looked around the passengers. They were busy with their own world so I pretended no big deal happened to me. When I came to my sense, I wiped my hand with a tissue and hand wash liquid I brought from home.
I realised how vulnerable I was being influenced by annoyed situation. Finally I thanked God because it did not drop on my head. what a blessing in disguise! I was reminded to thank God all the time!
Let's praise the Lord in any circumstance! happy time or unpleasant moment :)

Book: Keep Your Brain Alive

This book "Keep Your Brain Alive by Lawrence C. Katz, Ph.D & Manning Rubin, 1999" is interesting to read and simple to apply. It talks about how our brain work with neurobics exercises to boast our memories. Think of how babies learn a thing, they are using five sense organs of the human body: vision, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. As adult we may only use one or two sense organs once we familiar of doing something. This book teaches how we can use our other sense organs which we neglect them. We can start doing our daily activities in different ways to produce nutrients that grow our brain cells and to have younger and stronger brain.

Don’t you want a healthy brain? Keep doing same things in different way! All the best!

His love for you

How does God show His love for you?
God shows His love for me in many ways and one of the ways is through people around me.

At a church I was answering questions from BSF notes by referring to e-Bible from my mobile because I did not bring my Bible. Then I got a difficulty when one of the BSF questions was asked to use a Bible with references.
"Oh, I can't do this question without a Bible. How I wish to borrow a Bible from someone". A thought just came. Suddenly a familiar face, a young lady came towards me and sat next to my table. "Wow! God knows my need" then I borrowed a Bible from this young lady.

I continued doing my BSF notes questions then a middle age woman came and asked if I have extra spoon for her as she saw a packet of rice at my table. Feeling a shame, I told her I did not have any spoon for myself either and I planned to use hand since I forgot to take spoon at food court counter. The woman excused herself and went to seek for a spoon. A while later she appeared with two spoons, one for her and one for me. I was very thankful for her kindness.

Hebrews 2:3-4 said "how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will." This passage came alive to me :)

God is good and He showed His love for me through people around me. How about you? Think through how God has shown you His love! Be blessed.

What is Easter meant to you?

This Easter is meant a lot to me. There are 2 things I learnt today.

1. God gives chance.
My church mate enquired my help in worship ministry in Easter event. At first I doubted because I felt lost and I was still struggling with my problems. She entrusted me by saying "God came to the world to find the lost" so I took this opportunity.

2. God gives change.
Today sermon was about Zacchaeus the Tax Collector who changed his life when he met Jesus (Luke 19:1-10). After the event was over I went for lunch with my church mate. To my surprise I talked for 2 hours about my first love to Jesus and how God brought me through all these while. I can feel that God is changing my thoughts little by little.

Little By Little (He’s Changing Me)
Words and Music by Elsie Dietz Lippy

He’s changing me my precious Jesus
I’m not the same person that I used to be
Sometimes it’s slow going but there’s a knowing
That one day perfect I will be

Little by little day by day
Little by little in ev’ry way
My Jesus is changing me (He’s changing me)
Since I made a turnabout face
I’ve been growing in His grace
Jesus is changing me

If you need the chance and the change, come to Jesus.

CEO knows my name

Today the company gave us oranges & hongbao as Chinese New Year tradition. Each of the employee met CEO and greeted him best wishes. At my turn, I said to him "Gong Xi Fat Chai" and He replied "Happy Chinese New year to you, Jane". I was so happy that shared my joy to another colleague of mine. "Who am I that he remembered my name?"

When I pondered about this, I remember my Lord CEO, "Who am I that You Oh Lord cares for me?"

Psalm 139:17 says "How amazing are your thoughts concerning me"

Express World!

Express, express... that's the world today! Express bus, Instance photo, Super fast response via internet, etc. No more waiting! Lately I was been stressful with the deadline of my work. Everything has to be completed on the day itself! It really affected me!

End of the day of work and I was alighting from a bus to change for another. I felt so disappointed when I saw my next bus was in front of my current bus. "Alas!, hah? I got to wait?" I whispered to myself and I sighed aloud. After getting down from the bus, I saw another bus which was also heading to the same direction, was right behind my current bus. For the moment, I felt with joy because this bus took shorter route to reach my destination. *Be patient*

Then I went to supermarket, at the counter, I was waiting for the cashier scanning the my stuff I was buying. Just about to pay the cashier
money, she turned her back and she was busy with packing something else. I grumbled to myself "Alas!, how come the casher auntie was so slow? Couldn’t she pack her stuff later?" Soon she turned and put a lunch box into my stuff plastic bag. I was hesitated and asked "Is this free?" She responded "Yes, this is a free gift from the bread you bought". My face turned pink and answered "Oh! thank you." *Be patient*

Ops! What has happened to me? Why was I so impatient? My dear patient, where were you hiding to? It's really worth waiting sometimes. Let’s take thing patiently, the good thing may come last.

This song calm me alot.
"Let's take time to wait upon the Lord.
Let's take time to listen to His voice.
Unless the Lord builds the house, the labour in vain.
Let's take time to wait upon the Lord"

Study Time!

Study, study & study again... *sigh* it might be another boring day I guessed.

I was looking for a quiet place to study... Library was full of kids in this holiday season. MacDonal was as crowded as usual on weekends. Where could I park myself for 4 hours? As I prayed and walked towards the newly open Community Club nearby, I spotted two tables & chairs facing the road but I still looked around for another better choice. Everywhere was occupied so I went back to my first choice, the two tables & chairs.

When the wind breezed and chilled the place, I felt pleased. While I was studying, the familiar faces were caught my attention. I could not believe my eyes, I saw some popular business men & women with a minister of environment & water resources. Yes! Those people who I have seen on the TV news. They were having a talk in the conference room next to where I sat.

Three and a half hours were gone like a wind then the cleaners asked me if they could keep the tables & chairs including the one I was using. Later I realised that the tables & chairs were set up because there was a talk and those VIP were invited. Wow! I felt that the tables and chairs were reserved for me! How blessed I was!

As I walked home, I picked up some brochures from the community club as some of activities were interesting to me.

Study, study & study, I was fully charged with the knowledge! The knowledge of my own study, the knowledge of the Community club & the most of all the knowledge of God's blessings to me. What a wonderful day indeed!
